Former FC Porto executive Antero Henrique and his associates have built a lucrative empire through football transfers. But just how far does their influence stretch?
Names to Remember:
Antero Henrique:
Former Vice President of FC Porto; became Sporting Director at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and later at Qatar Stars League (QSL). He founded DHZ Consulting, an agency involved in major international football transfers.
Raúl Pais da Costa:
Former legal director at FC Porto who transitioned into a successful international football agent. Founded Nomiblue, representing prominent coaches such as André Villas-Boas and Ruben Amorim. He negotiated Antero Henrique’s contract at PSG.
Urgel Martins:
Served as FC Porto’s executive director from 2006 to 2021. Later joined Henrique in Qatar as deputy at the Qatar Stars League. Some of his business activities, occurred while he was still at FC Porto, raising questions about major conflicts of interest.
António Teixeira:
Brazil-based football agent and owner of Grémio Esportivo Anápolis, which supplied players to FC Porto’s B team. Linked closely with Henrique and Pais da Costa through joint business ventures, and was involved in securing economic rights for notable player transfers.
